Background

Okecho & Sons Construction and Metal Fabrication Limited is a legally registered Company which was founded in early 1960s but registered in 2011 with the registrar of companies as a Limited Company, Since then the Company has successfully implemented several projects in General Construction, Metal Fabrication and Site Management Services.

We have a well trained and experienced technical team to do General Construction and Metal Fabrication to the best of our client’s expectations. Okecho & Sons Construction Limited is committed to maintain the highest levels of Professionalism, Integrity, Honesty and Fairness in our relationships with our Suppliers, Subcontractors, Professional Associates and Customers. Total Number of key Personnel: 8, Total Number of Staff: 5, Total Number of Staff including Casual Workers: 80.

About the Director

After the death our Father in 2003 we did not sink in depression, we grieved and picked up the pieces and moved on, we gathered our strength and set up a company. Our Father had been involved in welding and metal fabrication from early 1960 until he passed on, he had trained many other people to include us the children since most of us used to spend our holidays in the workshop working with him. With our wide knowledge of fabrication, my brother and I teamed up with few colleagues to form a Construction and Fabrication Company in memory of our Father.

Since then to date we have registered a lot of successful stories that keep us going, we have executed various projects and on schedule, we have not disappointed our clients. We do these by empowering other young people who by one reason or the other have not completed school or education but opt to take on our field as the best option. We do this with pride because he used to tell us that the only gift you can give a person is a skill and that is our driving force.

I admit we have learned a lot of things we would have missed if we ignored his wise advice but it’s from this that we keep on growing day on, I am confident of myself that the sky is the limit for Okecho & Sons Construction Ltd.

Being a Rotarian, Rotary predisposes us with many other different skills and knowledge through the various training and leadership. One ought to be bold and better to address the challenges of our community and the world over. All these skills I have acquired as an individual I practically practice them in the company to empower and train youth with skills. Through our “Vijana Poa” program, we want to put youth into work to reduce dependence syndrome whereby they can be in a position to solve their social problems. This is the satisfaction we get as Rotarians to serve above self.
